Anyone who's played Rusty Lake's games will know its style and general themes, but did you know there was a short film in the making? Back in January we first caught wind of it and its Kickstarter page is open at last.

There really wasn't much information to go on at the time, but now we know that Paradox (its short film) and the tenth Cube Escape game will both feature the same elements. Though it has the same feeling of previous Rusty Lake games, this is a totally new story set in the same universe and directed by Sean van Leijenhorst. That doesn't mean you won't see a familiar face or two.

Paradox will be a real 'escape the room'-like experience as it runs 15 minutes of screen time and features plenty of tid-bits from previous games. While the tenth Cube Escape and short film won't be packaged together, you can use clue and hints within the film to your advantage.

Interestingly there'll be two payment options for the game. Traditionally the Cube Escape series has always been free to play, but this one will be both F2P and premium with different levels for each sort.

Check out further details on the story and cool features on the Kickstarter page here. We're seriously looking forward to seeing this one in action, that's for sure.
